A copywriter in three stories:

1 - A professor of women's studies saw one of my ads. She complained that it was written by a sexist pig. I wish I had that email. I'd frame it.

2 - Recently, I asked my friends to describe my personality. They said nice things, like I was kind or witty or wry. Then two of them called me "snarky." They meant it as a compliment.

3 - When I was 15, I was driving to my grandparents' house. My father was clutching the dashboard. I was practically sweating. As I turned the wheel, my mother looked up from her magazine and chimed in from the backseat, "A lot of people have died going around this curve."
